Mary Immaculate and St Peter’s Church – A Journey of Faith
The story of Mary Immaculate and St Peter’s Church began humbly, with a small group of devoted Catholics gathering in a private home to celebrate Mass. As the community grew, so did its aspirations. Land was eventually acquired, and in 1938, the present church was built—an enduring symbol of faith and fellowship in New Barnet.
Situated within the Barnet Deanery, the parish has flourished under the spiritual guidance of the Holy Ghost Fathers (CSSp), whose dedication has shaped its Catholic identity over the decades. Their pastoral care continues to nurture a vibrant and welcoming community rooted in prayer, service, and tradition.
