Parent & Toddler Group

WE NEED YOUR HELP! – The Parent & Toddler Group is voluntarily run by parents. We are in need of people (maybe you already attend) to help Celine set up and clear away at each session, maybe on a rota system. We are also in need of people who are free (might suit a retired parishioner) to help in the kitchen. If you are able to give some of your time please make yourself known at the parish office.

PARISH WORK DAY

Saturday 4th October, we have our parish work day between 10am – 1pm. Can you help for an hour or more? The following jobs need doing: weeding, a general tidy of the grounds, painting step nosings, repairing drainpipe, win-dow cleaning, centre kitchen cupboard’s clean and sort out, store-room sort out and general church cleaning.

PARISH AGM

Please do try and come along to the parish AGM, Tuesday 16th September 8pm in the parish centre

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Celebrated every year on August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary commemorates the death of Mary and her bodily assumption into Heaven, before her body could begin to decay–a foretaste of our own bodily resur-rection at the end of time. Because it signi-fies the Blessed Virgin’s passing into eternal life, it is the most important of all Marian feasts and a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at 7pm on Friday 15th August.
